Anniversary
Anniversary
Anniversary builds the classic anniversary band: a row of stones, each in its own bezel cup, with the cups touching one another. Over the stones there is no band underneath: the touching cups are the ring there, and a plain band closes the rest of the circle and welds into the two end cups. The stones can all be the same size or step down from a larger centre stone to the ends.
Run it from the ribbon (Shanks, right after Eternity) or by typing ArtisanAnniversary. The panel opens on the library of saved styles; pick one, or press Edit to work on the design in the viewport. Accepting bakes a parametric ring, with the stones as its children, that you can re-edit from the Outliner.
Finger Size
Sets the ring size the band is built on.
Stones
- Distribution: Where the stones go, always centred on the top, with the same options as the Eternity Ring:
- Full: cups all the way round, with no band.
- Half (default) and Three Quarters: as many touching cups as fit in that share of the ring.
- Five, Seven or Nine Stones: a fixed number of stones.
- Shape and Compound: The cut (Round, Princess, Radiant, Oval or Emerald) and the material of the stones.
- Size Distribution:
- Uniform: every stone is Stone Size (2 mm by default).
- Graduated: the stones step down symmetrically from the Center Stone Size in the middle (3 mm) to the Side Stone Size at both ends (1.8 mm).
- Elevation: How high the stones sit, measured from the finger to the bottom of the cups (0.3 mm by default).
- Drill: Drills a seat under every stone, for light and cleaning. On by default.
Bezels
The cup around each stone, sized to the stone from the proportions of the profile.
- Profile: The
BEZEL_PROFILEsection of the cups, chosen and edited in the asset preview. - Gem Inside: How far the bezel lip closes over the stone.
The cups are trimmed by the finger, so the inside of the ring is smooth where the stones are.
Top
The band section where it meets the end cups (1.8 mm wide and 1.6 mm high by default). The band blends from this section to the bottom one.
- Profile: The asset preview chooses and edits the cross-section.
- Width: Width of the section, along the finger.
- Height: Thickness of the section, from the finger outward.
- Interior: Solid or Comfort. Comfort domes the inside, with its own Comfort Height.
Bottom
The section at the back of the ring (2 mm wide and 1.5 mm high by default), with the same controls as the top. Both sections have width and height gumballs in the viewport. With the Full distribution there is no band, so these two tabs have no effect.
Working with the panel
- Save defaults in the header stores the current parameters as the starting point for the next run. Right-click the same button to clear them and return to the factory values.
- Save and Update write the design into your styles library so it appears in the gallery next time.
- Accept bakes the band and cups as one parametric object, with the stones as its children, and lists it in the Outliner. It regenerates when you change the finger size.
Scripting and AI
The assistant builds it with create_anniversary (MCP tools), and scripts with AnniversaryApi.Create (ra.anniversary.create() in Python). In Grasshopper it is under Shanks › Anniversary.
