Diamonds
Everything in this tab is about stones: putting them where they belong, building the metal that holds them, and checking afterwards that what you set can actually be made.
The list follows the ribbon top to bottom, group by group.
Studios
Where a stone comes from. The studios build the gem itself; Three Stones and Toi et Moi start a design around more than one.
- Gem Studio — the main stone
browser and editor.
- Baguette Studio — the same for baguettes and other step cuts, in the Gem Studio submenu.
- Gem Creator — build a cut that isn’t in the library.
- Three Stones — the classic three-stone layout.
- Toi et Moi — two stones facing each other.
Gems along curves
Distributing stones along geometry you have already drawn.
- Gems on Curve — a run of stones following one curve.
- Gems on 2 Curves — stones fitted between two rails, sizing to the gap.
- Gems on Network — stones over a network of curves.
- Advanced Gems on Curve — the same run with full control over spacing, rotation and size variation.
- Gems from Circle — turn existing circles into stones of the matching size.
- Tapered Baguettes on Curves — a run of tapered baguettes between two curves.
Pearl and Cabochon
Stones that are not faceted.
Gemsets
The metal that holds the stone. Several come in a plain and an advanced version: the plain one is quick, the advanced one exposes every dimension.
- Bezel — a rim of metal around the stone.
- Basket — the open cage under the stone.
- Cluster — a group of stones set as one head.
- Peg Head — a head on a peg, ready to drop into a mount.
- Martini — the conical martini-glass setting.
- Hidden Halo — a halo under the centre stone, seen only from the side.
- Halo — a ring of small stones around the centre one.
- Tulip — the tulip-shaped head.
- Trellis — crossing prongs that weave under the stone.
- Channel — stones held between two walls of metal.
Trilogy
Three-stone heads, each one a different arrangement of the side stones.
Pave and prongs
Covering a surface in small stones, and the prongs that hold them.
- Pave — place pave stones by hand.
- Automatic Pave — fill a
region automatically.
- Pave along Surface — the same over a surface, in the Automatic submenu.
- Dynamic Prongs — prongs that follow the stones as they move.
- Custom Prongs — replace
the generated prongs with a prong you modelled.
- Prong Axis — set the axis the custom prong is built along, in the Custom Prongs submenu.
Cutters and micro setting
What gets subtracted from the metal so the stone can sit in it.
- Cutters — the seats and holes for each stone.
- Micro Setting — the cutter geometry for micro-set stones.
- Azure — the decorative openings under the stones.
Gem tools
Once the stones are in, everything you need to inspect, move and fix them.
- Turn upside down —
flip stones that went in the wrong way.
- Rotate gems left / right — in the Turn upside down submenu.
- Gems recover — restore stones that lost their gem data.
- Gem Curve — the curve a run of stones sits on.
- Gem move — move a stone on its own plane.
- Reduce gem size by % — scale stones down by a percentage.
- Gems Info — sizes, counts and weights of everything in the file.
- Copy by gems — copy an object onto every stone.
- CPlane on Gem — put the construction plane on a stone.
- Collision — find stones that overlap or intersect.
- Flip plane — fix the construction plane of mirrored stones so their cutters point the right way.
- Center Between Gems — place a point or object midway between two stones.
