Creating and Connecting Your Accounts

Two accounts cover every AI feature, and you set them up once. Both are pay-as-you-go: you add credit up front and it draws down as you use the tools.

You only need the account for the features you actually want. If you never open Generative AI, you never need fal.ai.

1. OpenRouter: for the Assistant and Flow Studio AI

1. Create an account at openrouter.ai.
2. Add credit to the balance. Start small; you can top up at any time.
3. Create an API key and copy it. Copy it immediately: providers show a key once and cannot show it again afterwards. If you lose it, you delete it and create another.

2. fal.ai: for Generative AI

1. Create an account at fal.ai.
2. Add credit to the balance.
3. Create an API key and copy it, with the same caution as above.

3. Paste both into RhinoArtisan

Open Options → Artisan → Integrations. Everything lives on that one page, so the keys are set once and every feature that needs them simply works, no panel will ever stop to ask you for a key in the middle of a job.

• OpenRouter → API Key: your OpenRouter key.
• OpenRouter → Assistant AI model: the model the Assistant panel uses.
• OpenRouter → Flow Studio AI model: the model Flow Studio AI uses. Worth setting higher than the Assistant; see Quality, speed and cost.
• Generative AI (fal.ai) → API Key: your fal.ai key.

Both keys are stored as password fields rather than plain text.

4. Check that it works

Open the Assistant panel and type anything. A reply means the key, the balance and the model are all in order.
