Objective: Learn how to open the rail with a boolean difference and how to prepare the curve that positions the gems.
Position the Solid
Hide the reference surface. Then select the solid and, using the gumball, lower it 0.5 mm.

Boolean Difference
Go to the “Solid” tab and use the “Boolean Difference” command.

- Select the infinity and press Enter.
- Select the solid and press Enter.
In the command bar, leave the Delete Cutters option as No in case you want to modify the rail later. Change the solid to another layer so you keep it available for the future.

Prepare the Gem Curve
Hide everything except the infinity so you can work without distractions.

Show only the central curve and lower it 0.5 mm so it sits exactly on the rail surface. This curve is the one that will position the gems.
