Eternal Orbits
Sculpt a ring where gem-set orbits wrap around a sphere. The construction is pure technique: a 16.4 mm sphere cut by the ring curve, a circle flowed onto its surface with Flow Along Surface, and a web of alternating 2 mm and 0.6 mm offsets that becomes the orbital pattern. A parametric Classic shank unions into the sphere, and Quad Remesh converts the whole thing to clean SubD with X and Y symmetry.

Then the orbits come alive: 0.4 mm surface bands carved out and rebuilt as solids, rails of 1.65 mm gems with prongs and cutters, pavé filling the gaps — and the engineering finish, hollowing the body with a 14.20 mm boolean sphere and reshaping the inner shank with cage editing so the statement piece stays wearable. Follow the step-by-step lessons at your own pace, then watch the video lesson at the end to see the whole build in one sitting.
