10. Cut the solid and add the top stone setting
Boolean Difference: solid and prongs first, then the cutters. With the seats carved, draw a 2.542 mm line from the top of the model in the Right view, create a 2.5 mm gem in Studio and Move it so its culet sits exactly at the line’s top point.
11. Build and tune the basket setting
Open Basket on the gem and edit without a preset: diameter 0.8 mm, upper rail disabled, height 2.70 mm, bottom diameter 0.8 mm, prongs Straight. Switch the rail profile to Profile 004 at 0.6 mm wide with the slider at 74 so the basket runs straight, then refine overgirdle, rail height and prong height until the fit is right.
12. Create connecting rings and align the basket assembly
Draw a Circle between basket and model (Osnap, Shift) crossing both elements, and Pipe it at 0.25 — Update Children keeps it live if history is on. Alt-rotate a copy 90°, align both rings to the end of the lower rail in Ghosted display, make sure the upper ring clears the teardrop (raise basket and gem if needed), Mirror the rings to the top, and center everything on the rail along Y.
