Shaping the Shank with Boolean Difference

Objective: Use the Boolean Difference command to cut a perfect seat for the cabochon in the shank.
Boolean Difference:
- In the Solid tab, select Boolean Difference.

- Select the shank, press Enter, then select the offset solid, and press Enter again.
Check Shank Fit:
- Use Hide to conceal the gem and examine the seat created in the shank.
- Use Show to bring the cabochon back.

Video Lesson: In this lesson, we’ll use Boolean Difference to carve out the area for the cabochon to sit in, making sure it has a precise fit within the shank.
