5. Extract ISO curves for gem placement references
Select the shank and type Extract ISO Curve in the command bar, picking the central ISO curves as gem placement references — with O-Snap enabled so snapping to intersections stays accurate. Right-click repeats the command for the second curve, and a separate layer keeps both visible while you work.

6. Place the first row of pavé gems
Open Pave in the Diamonds tab and add the shank to the selector. Place a 2.0 mm gem in the center, enable X-axis symmetry, and follow the guide curves along the central axis with a descending sequence: 2.0, 1.9, 1.8, 1.7 and 1.6 mm.

7. Place the second row of gems
Switch to 1.9 mm and enable symmetry on both X and Y — every gem you place now becomes four. Place the row and continue graduating down: 1.8, 1.7, 1.6 and 1.5 mm.

8. Place the third row of gems
Start the next row with 1.8 mm gems and keep stepping down as the shank narrows: 1.7, 1.6, 1.4 and 1.3 mm.

9. Place the fourth row of gems
Begin at 1.7 mm and continue the graduation toward the sides: 1.6, 1.5, 1.3 and 1.1 mm.

10. Place the final row of gems
The last row starts at 1.7 mm, drops to two 1.6 mm gems, returns to 1.7 mm and finishes with 1.4 and 1.1 mm. Before moving on, verify that every gem sits evenly and securely on the shank.
