Ruby:

- Mohs hardness scale: 9 out of 10
- Past symbolism: Legends claim a ruby would shine through even the thickest clothing and could not be hidden. Rubies have always been associated with love, especially faithful passionate commitment and closeness
- Energy: Rubies promote a clear mind, increased concentration and motivation, and bring a sense of power to the wearer, a self-confidence that propels one toward prosperity and achievement.

- Energy: inspiration, balance, wisdom, and patience. Promotes: friendship, peace, harmony,. It opens the heart chakra to bestow the wearer with both giving and receiving g of unconditional love.
Sapphire:

- Material: Just like Rubies, Sapphires are made of the mineral corundum. While sapphires come in a range of colors, the classic deep blue sapphire gets its color from trace amounts of titanium and iron.
If it wasn’t for these materials that give the stone its characteristic color, sapphires would be the same color as rubies and emeralds: transparent!
- Mohs hardness scale: 9 out of 10
- History Overview: According to Hebrew lore, King Solomon of Israel wore a sapphire ring as a talisman and the law given to Moses on the mountain was said to be engraved on tablets of sapphire.
